On June 8th, Managing Director Jack Hu and Governor Mike Huckabee met with Former Taiwan Vice-President and Kuomintang Party Honorary Chairman Lien Chan.  During this meeting, lasting approximately an hour, the parties discussed a number of issues and agreements effecting U.S.-Taiwan-China relations. The Governor later visited the Taipei 101 tower, where Taipei 101's President Horace Lin took Governor Mike Huckabee and Managing Director Jack Hu on a private tour of the building's unique features, before finishing their visit with a rare trip to the 101st floor of the building.

Managing Director Jack Hu said, "We are delighted to bring Governor Mike Huckabee to Taiwan, as the local audience rarely has an opportunity to hear a live speech by a prominent U.S. politician and has never had the opportunity to directly present questions for the speaker.  Attendees were not only able to gain an international perspective on major current issues, but received the rare privilege of obtaining honest answers from a nationally-recognized media commentator and political leader."
