London Period Building to be Given a Heating System Makeover by JCH London
LONDON, April 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
Part of what makes London so special and unique is its inimitable landscape that seamlessly combines new and avant-garde with old and traditional, the net result being a truly compelling and globally recognised urban landscape. London's impressive cityscape has been tenderly formulated by some of the world's most renowned architects and designers over the century, with the name Sir Christopher Wren immediately springing to mind. When therefore, commercial and domestic heating specialists, JCH London were asked to effectively contribute to the British capital's cherished urban makeup by updating the hot water and heating systems of a period block of flats, the well-established and highly-esteemed heating specialists were naturally excited and eager to take on the challenge.
JCH London's team of qualified and experienced engineers have been left with the challenge of replacing the heating and hot water systems of Queen Court in High Holborn, with a more advanced and state-of-the-art system, made out of the highest quality materials on the market, with the ultimate aim of reducing resident's fuel costs.
JCH London's commitment to making fuel costs more 'bearable' in London, has resulted in the company undertaking a huge design and build project to evolve Queen's Court somewhat antiquated existing heating system, which dates back to the 1960s, into a much more efficient one. In fact, so inefficient was the period block of flat's heating system that during the winter, the cost of heating the building's 46 flats, added up to almost £12,000 a month.
Talking about how they have relied to their customers to gauge a more comprehensive understanding of what kind of heating systems would be appropriate, a spokesperson for JCH London said:
"Our communication with our customers has allowed us to understand what systems suit them specifically, ensuring they are given the best service using the best engineers and helping them to reduce their fuel costs."
Whilst the old system relied on oil, which is traditionally expensive and inefficient, JCH London is installing a much more efficient and competitively priced gas powered boiler into Queen Court's boiler room, which comprises of specialist materials developed by the highly regarded commercial boiler manufacturer, Viessmann. This will effectively mean that not only will the residents of this elegant block of period flats have a more modern and reliable heating system, but they will also save approximately 30% in operating costs.
Taking a particularly innovative approach to updating the heating systems in old buildings, JCH London have been able to keep the existing system still operating while they prepared and installed the new boilers, meaning that residents only experienced five days of boiler downtime. Not only this but once the new system has been completed, JCH will have remote control over the system's operating parameters, giving Queen Court resident additional piece of mind.
JCH London, formerly known as JC heating, was founded in 2006 and has gone from strength to strength in the ensuing years. This highly acclaimed heating specialist prides itself on maintaining London's heating and hot water systems with an emphasis on top quality workmanship and customer care.
