MORRIS PLAINS, N.J., Oct. 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- CherryRoad Technologies Inc., a leading integrator of enterprise software and Platinum level member of Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN), congratulates the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, for the continued recognition its nationally acclaimed Treasury Transformation Project has received including most recently as one of GCN Magazine's "Top Ten IT Excellence Projects" award winners as well as a finalist in NASCIO's Outstanding Achievements in State IT projects awards.
CherryRoad, who implemented Oracle's PeopleSoft Financials and Oracle Fusion Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), is proud to have partnered with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Treasury during its two-year innovation journey which replaced aging, unsupported mainframe systems. At the project's conclusion the Commonwealth transformed the way in which it serves its constituents, setting a new benchmark for other states to follow. The project, which has impacted the entire Commonwealth in a highly positive manner, consolidated more than 25 internal systems and numerous financial business processes, eliminated multiple individual systems, and standardized all interfaces to the Treasury. The original budget, slated at $42 million, was completed on time and $7 million under budget. The exceptional teamwork, collaboration, change management, and support between the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, CherryRoad, and Oracle were the overarching, critical success factors.
"From the onset of the project, CherryRoad was responsive to our needs and did demonstrate a high level of knowledge and commitment, which helped PA Treasury successfully accomplish its numerous business objectives," said PN Narayanan, Chief Information Officer, Pennsylvania Treasury.
"We are privileged to have contributed to the success of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's ambitious Treasury Transformation project," commented Jeremy Gulban, CherryRoad President. "As with all our clients, our goal is to assist in helping them transform their organizations and the way in which they do business. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has demonstrated great vision and this initiative serves as an outstanding example of success that others can model."
"We value our long-term partnership with CherryRoad and are pleased to have played a role in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Treasury's award-winning Transformation project," stated Dennis Morgan, Group Vice President, Public Sector Channels, Oracle.
