Longtime Trial, Corporate Attorneys Join Forces to Launch Hobart|Linzer, LLP, in Los Angeles
Boutique firm with value-based fee structures represents the new face of trial and corporate counseling
LOS ANGELES, March 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Seasoned trial and corporate attorneys C. Dana Hobart and Kenneth A. Linzer have joined forces to launch Hobart|Linzer, LLP, a boutique firm dedicated to handling cases nimbly and cost-effectively.
"Our years of trying cases and advising businesses have taught us that identifying a client's best result at the start, demonstrating to our adversaries our tenacious commitment to victory and achieving that result efficiently, is what differentiates us from our big-firm competition," said Linzer. "We believe we are the new face of trial and corporate counseling and are the first Los Angeles-based boutique to offer clients genuine, value-based fee structures."
Hobart and Linzer have collaborated since their early days at Paul Hastings. As lawyers experienced in both the courtroom and the boardroom, Hobart|Linzer, LLP, provides the unique ability to resolve clients' most difficult business problems by developing innovative solutions that avoid litigation, and winning at trial when litigation is unavoidable.
"Both Ken and I have had extensive experience at large law firms as well as at boutique firms," said Hobart. "Today's market for legal services made us confident that we could provide better, more cost-effective trial and corporate counseling to our clients outside of the big-firm environment. We approach cases with a view toward sharing the risk with our clients, not maximizing billable hours."
The firm plans to work with its clients to develop a fee structure tailored to their unique problem, be that on a contingent, flat, hybrid, or performance-based fee basis.
"We think everyone wins when our incentives are aligned with our clients'," said Hobart.
Hobart|Linzer, LLP's trial and corporate expertise covers a wide spectrum. The firm's attorneys have litigated sophisticated, high-stakes disputes across the country in the investment, entertainment, airline, banking, real estate, publishing and high technology industries. The firm's corporate expertise includes strategic planning and financial transactions, stock and asset acquisitions, mergers, corporate governance, business and partnership dissolutions, as well as trademark, copyright and other intellectual property matters.
