MONTREAL, March 30 /PRNewswire/ - L'Oréal Canada partners with Montreal's Haute Études Commerciales (HEC) in a case competition organized by the Certified Management Accountants (CMA) committee at HEC Montréal. Seven teams of 3 students will be given a case study to analyze, solve and within 2 hours present their analysis to a jury made up of management representatives from 4 Montreal companies.
L'Oréal Canada's Chief Financial Officer, André Rémillard, will be one of the judges presiding over the competition. "A competition like this is an excellent opportunity for us to recognize the talents of these students by recreating a realistic situation which financial analysts experience on a daily basis", stated Mr. Rémillard. Sebastien Laplante, HR representative and Étienne Racine, Financial Analyst and a graduate of HEC, will also be present at the event and networking with the students on behalf of L'Oréal Canada.
As one of Canada's Top Employers for Young People* for the past years, L'Oréal Canada's recruitment strategy has always been driven by three main priorities: recruiting the best talents, promoting diversity, and maximizing employee development.
At the core of this strategy is the importance L'Oréal Canada places on forging strong partnerships with Canadian universities: from on-campus activities - where the company interacts with students on a one-on-one basis to discuss career development and introduce them to the company's culture - to other innovative recruitment tools like the business/marketing game called L'Oréal Brandstorm (www.brandstorm.loreal.com) and REVEAL by L'Oréal (www.reveal-thegame.com), an online game launched in 2010. The company also makes use of a range of social media networks (facebook, LinkedIn, Skype) to connect with students and potential candidates.
For L'Oréal Canada, partnering with prestigious business schools and universities is a key element in recruiting the leaders of tomorrow.
