Los Angeles Welcomes Top Educator Debbi David

WHAT:

California educator Debbi David will be officially installed as St. James' School's Head of School by Episcopal Bishop J. Jon Bruno with a vibrant, multi-cultural ceremony filled with over 500 children, city representatives and independent school leaders.

This event marks the beginning of sweeping enhancements at one of LA's most notable private schools at a time when others throughout the region are downsizing and suffering.  Those enhancements include a new six-figure art program and studio, groundbreaking for a future preschool building, a new director of lower elementary, a new director of advancement, a new admissions manager and a new science lab.

This small 43-year old school is known for its academic rigor and ethnic diversity.  It is part of St. James' Church, 100-years old and rich with historic spiritual and social support of Los Angeles.  More info at www.sjsla.org.
