Los Angeles Based Chain 9021Pho Announces John Morgan Of Winmark Corp Buys Stake

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Chief Executive Officer Alfred DeCarolis announces today that John Morgan, CEO and Chairman of the board of Winmark Corporation, has bought a 3% stake in 9021Pho, a Vietnamese and French fusion restaurant chain based in Los Angeles, California. DeCarolis reports that 9021Pho Restaurants LLC has completed their raise of $3,000,000 and has brought on board some of the most sophisticated investors in the country. John Morgan will be joining current shareholders, Chamath Palihapitiya, former VP at Facebook, Bobby Baldwin, CEO Aria Hotel/City center owned by MGM Mirage, and Marcus Ryu, CEO of Guidewire.  Mr. Morgan will help the company develop the 9021Pho franchise model across the country while it continues to open new company owned restaurants in Denver, Los Angeles, and Minnesota. 9021Pho currently has five successful locations in the Los Angeles area and will be opening two locations early 2016 in the Denver area.
