Lovaganza Begins Recording Musical Soundtrack for Animated Film Series, "The Marvelous 12," at Historic Abbey Road Studios
LONDON, Nov. 18, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Preparations for Lovaganza, worldwide celebrations and tribute to all of Earth's cultures, scheduled for a 2020 opening, continue as Lovaganza founders Jean François and Genevieve Gagnon (also known as creative duo JF&G) begin recording "The Marvelous 12" animated series musical score.
"The Marvelous 12" animated series will tell the backstory of "The Lovaganza Convoy" films and will be presented during the Lovaganza traveling show leading up to the Lovaganza 2020 worldwide celebrations. JF&G plan to release the animated series in cinemas worldwide as well.
Adding to the excitement, is the location of the recording, which took place at Abbey Road Studios in London, the most respected and recognized recording facility in the world.
"We felt that as much of the music for the Lovaganza celebrations and accompanying films as possible had to be recorded at Abbey Road because it is such a fixture in international history," Jean François explained, referring to the work of the Beatles, Pink Floyd, U2, and Elton John and
not to mention, films like Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, and Braveheart.
Each musical piece for "The Marvelous 12" was composed by JF&G, with musical arrangements provided by Chris Elliot, who is known for his work as arranger on such iconic productions as Baz Luhrmann's box office hit film "Moulin Rouge!" , Amy Winehouse's Back to Black album and on both of Adele's multi-award winning 19 and 21 records. Orchestration is the work of Geoff Alexander, whose background includes such projects as the Harry Potter film franchise, Gravity, and Planet Earth. Simon Rhodes, known for an astounding body of work that includes The Jungle Book, Spectre, Avatar and Grand Budapest Hotel to name only a few, served as the sound engineer for the recording sessions. Additionally, the orchestra for the project was composed of more than 70 of England's best symphony players and a talented chorus of singers.
"The Marvelous 12" animated series, planned to debut in theaters worldwide, is a crucial aspect of the celebrations as a whole, and we are truly confident in the team we have assembled," according to Genevieve Gagnon. "Jean François and I are grateful to be working with a group of such talented artists and individuals."
The Lovaganza celebrations, originally scheduled for 2015, were rescheduled to make better use of new and growing entertainment technology. This includes a groundbreaking Immerscope screen that is said to create a brand new viewing experience while still retaining the nostalgia of the old. The Lovaganza 2020 Celebrations is now set to open simultaneously from May to September 2020 in eight flagship locations around the world. In addition to soundtrack recording, filming has already begun in France, Spain, and the United States.
