Love Is In The Air: Pizza Hut® Launches 'Commit To Greatness' Campaign Seeking One-of-a-Kind Proposals

PLANO, Texas, Feb. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The journey to "I do" can be long and winding, but it always starts at one place: the proposal. From extravagant flash mobs and quirky memes to elegant romantic dinners, Americans have found countless unique ways to pop the big question.

Every day, fans tweet proposals to @pizzahut and in just the last year, the world's largest pizza company has received more than 10,000 of these social proposals from fans in 22 countries and every state except South Dakota. Narrowing it down to "the one" will be tough but it means finding someone who brings outrageous enthusiasm to everyday moments. Today, after 56 years of being unattached, Pizza Hut is prepared to commit.

Through its #CommitToGreatness campaign, the global pizza brand is launching a contest seeking that special someone who will melt its cheese with a one-of-a-kind proposal. Fans can comment on the Pizza Hut profile on OkCupid.com/PizzaHut or send an Instagram video or Vine with #CommitToGreatness describing what they believe is the most creative proposal. Three lucky fans will become finalists. One lucky fan will receive the promise of "I do" in exchange for a lifetime of free Pizza Hut.

Deadline for submitting #CommitToGreatness contest proposals is Friday, Feb. 21, 2014. Three finalists will be chosen to receive a trip to Pizza Hut headquarters in Plano, Texas for a series of challenges and other "meet the parents" activities.
