Loyaltyworks President Gets Down to Funny Business With Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's Distinguished Clown Corps
Mark Herbert, Loyaltyworks President, works to spread holiday cheer with Distinguished Clown Corps
ATLANTA, Nov. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Loyaltyworks is proud to announce that its President, Mark Herbert, will once again be participating in the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Christmas Parade with The Distinguished Clown Corps. Like all other participating clowns, Mr. Herbert will be exchanging his normal professional attire for makeup, floppy shoes and a big pair of sunglasses. Though the Clowns do walk in the Christmas Parade, the highlight is spending time clowning around with amazing children that are battling life-threatening illnesses, and deserve all the laughs the Clown Corps can give them.

The Corps is a mix of business executives and community leaders from around the Greater Atlanta area. They come together once a year to give a little time and a lot of smiles to children who need it the most during the holiday season. 2012 will mark the 21st year they've walked in the Children's Christmas Parade. The clowns' duties include monetary donations to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta; walking together as a group in the Children's parade; and spreading holiday cheer by dancing, goofing off, and interacting with some of Children's most special children, who may not be able to make it to the parade themselves.
Mr. Herbert says "this year we're hoping to recruit 50 clowns to the cause. If we meet that goal, it will give us a lifetime contribution total of over $1 million to Children's Healthcare. We're incredibly excited about this. But even if we don't hit it just yet, we consider ourselves fortunate to be able to help in the way we do, and to be able to interact with these amazing children and their families. It's my favorite part of the holiday season, and I'm honored to be a part of it."
All donations go directly to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. If you're interested in being a member of the Clown Corps this year, complete the entry form online or download the paper form and mail it to:
