Recent Earnings

For the first nine months ending September 30, 2014, the Company reported that HemCon Medical Technologies, Inc., their wholly owned subsidiary, has year-over-year revenues based on their chitosan technology platform increasing 34.60% over the same nine-month period in 2013. The Company attributed most of this growth to its continuing progress in developing existing and new sustainable revenue lines.

The Company expects revenues of its core chitosan wound care products to surpass the prior year by more than 25%, and is in line with overall business expectations for 2014.

Military Approval

Earlier in the year, the U.S. Department of Defense's Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care (CoTCCC) updated its guideline recommendations for control of severe external hemorrhage to include HemCon's ChitoGauze^® PRO hemostatic chitosan-coated gauze product.
