Lush Pops Up At Climate Week NYC With Experiential Activation Addressing Climate Change

 NEW YORK, Sept. 25, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Lush Cosmetics, the beauty company with a campaigning heart, announced they will be popping up at the High Line in New York City tomorrow, September 26th, with a unique activation aimed at driving awareness to the climate emergency. Timed in alignment with Climate Week NYC and the brand's current campaign, The People's Climate Agreement, the activation aims to educate the public about the root causes of climate change and inspire guests to take action in supporting a just transition away from fossil fuels.

In collaboration with Oilwell, a spoof meditation app created by climate activists to highlight paradoxes between 'selfcare' through meditation during the climate emergency, the space at the High Line Spur (30th Street & 10th Ave) will be set up as an outdoor meditation area with a playful twist. Visitors can relax in the lounge and listen to guided meditations by Oilwell – like Drowning Mindfully and Smog Breathing Exercise – on their own personal devices. Upon completion, attendees will receive a Lush product bag with a card educating them on the climate crisis and ways to take action. Through a memorable experience, Lush is aiming to spark conversation and leave a lasting impression that reinforces the brand's commitment to climate advocacy. The event will take place on Friday, September 26th from 11am to 6pm.

The activation is rooted in community engagement, with the goal of educating and inspiring action around the climate crisis as part of the People's Climate Agreement Campaign, which will run in Lush's 250+ shops across the U.S. and Canada from September 21st through October 2nd. With this campaign, the objective is to inform customers about how building grassroots power can drive climate solutions to ensure that future generations inherit a livable planet. In addition, Lush is launching the limited-edition "It's Getting Hot In Here" Body Balm, with 75% of the purchase price (minus the taxes) going to organizations helping to create a more just and equitable fossil-free world.
