
MacDonald Communications Approved as Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business
TROY, Mich., Oct. 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- MacDonald Communications today reported it has been certified as a Service-disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) by the U. S. Department of Veteran Affairs.
In the announcement notification, J. Gault, Acting Veteran Administrator, said "MacDonald Communications Company is now eligible to participate in the Veterans First Contracting Program opportunities with the VA." During FY 2014, the VA spent $18.4 billion in contracts with 21.6% going to Veteran-owned Small Businesses and Service-Disabled Veteran owned Small Businesses.
MacDonald Communications was formed in 1995 by Bruce G. MacDonald, former Vice President of Global Communications for General Motors and Deputy Chief of Army Public Affairs. A managing partner with Venture Management Services, he is a retired Major General and also serves as the Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army for Michigan.
