MADD Sports, Uber, and Capital Invitational Partner to Promote Safe Choices at Premier Girls Basketball Showcase at The St. James on December 10

SPRINGFIELD, Va., Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Mothers Against Drunk Driving® (MADD) Sports, Uber, and the Capital Invitational are joining forces on December 10 to promote impaired driving and underage substance use prevention, mental wellness, and safe transportation choices during one of the nation's premier girls' high school scholastic basketball showcases, held at The St. James.

The partnership will activate around the Capital Invitational, a nationally recognized girls scholastic basketball showcase hosted annually by The St. James, the premier sports, wellness and entertainment destination in Springfield, Virginia, just outside of Washington, D.C. Now entering its sixth year, the Capital Invitational attracts nationally ranked teams and elite players from across the country, providing a high-level platform for competition, recruiting exposure, athlete development, and community engagement.

Through this partnership, MADD Sports will bring its prevention and wellness mission to student-athletes, families, coaches, fans, and community members. The collaboration reinforces the shared commitment of MADD Sports, Uber, and Capital Invitational to help young people make informed decisions, protect their futures, and prevent the devastating consequences of impaired driving and underage substance use.
