LOS ANGELES and NASHVILLE, Tenn., Jan. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Madison Industries, Inc., the nation's leading manufacturer of commercial grade, pre-engineered structures, today has signed a world-wide exclusive agreement with Sanderling Healthcare, LLC to build healthcare facilities. John S. Frey, Jr., Chief Executive Officer of Madison, announced their agreement, formalizing a relationship that has been in the making between Madison and the Sanderling's Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Jerome Tannenbaum, since 2001.
"Dr. Tannenbaum began building dialysis clinics with our company almost 10 years ago and has since built over 20 such facilities. Three years ago, his company engaged Madison to build 24,000 sq. ft. of a state-of-the-art hospital in Pennsylvania, a joint accomplishment many said was not possible. Dr. Tannenbaum's vision and experience in building healthcare facilities, coupled with Madison's ability to build institutional quality, 50-year construction, in a factory environment, has led us to the decision to work exclusively with each other on all healthcare construction," commented Mr. Frey.
Sanderling Healthcare was founded by Dr. Tannenbaum in 2009 to build healthcare facilities for communities in the United States and around the world. Dr. Tannenbaum stated, "Over the past eight years, Madison has proven to me that complex medical facilities, including hospitals, can be built with a level of consistency and precision which is impossible to achieve with on-site construction. The quality and durability of Madison's all steel and concrete buildings makes it possible to build and locate them anywhere in the world, and in the harshest environments."
Dr. Tannenbaum previously founded REN Corp. (formerly Nasdaq: RENL), Medical Information Management Systems, Inc., National Nephrology Associates, Inc., and Diversified Specialty Institutes, Inc., before forming Sanderling Healthcare. His career developing and operating medical facilities led to Sanderling's unique designs and methods. Sanderling facilities are ideal not only for hospitals, but also for dialysis clinics, ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs), and other medical and dental clinics. Built around the proprietary concept of Functional Standard Units (FSUs), Sanderling is able to rapidly customize the designs for many types of healthcare facilities in less time compared with traditional methods, and with assurance that facilities will comply with all regulatory standards for healthcare facilities at the time of the licensing survey.
