Madrina's Thanks George Lopez Foundation for Opportunity to Sponsor Celebrity Golf Tournament
Premier Multicultural Brand Tees Off for a Cause
ST. LOUIS, May 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Madrina's Multicultural Brands (MMCB) was proud to sponsor the 5th Annual George Lopez Celebrity Golf Tournament, which benefits The Lopez Foundation.
Held in Los Angeles last week, the tournament raised support for The Lopez Foundation and helped bring visibility to its mission. As a sponsor Madrina's served its Helado (Ice Cream), iced coffees, as well as the company's signature Horchata mixed with rum, all of which were sampled by celebrity golfers on the first hole. A silent auction included a one-year supply of Madrina's Helado.
"Madrina's Horchata was a fun addition to our event in 2011, and this year the Ice Cream and Cafe con Leche were hits as well," commented Linda Small, Executive Director of The Lopez Foundation. "Our golfers were able to sample products at Madrina's booth, stationed prominently on the first tee."
"It was our privilege to participate in this highly regarded event for the second year in a row," said Rich A. Davis, President of MMCB. "The Lopez Foundation is doing exceptional work on behalf of so many children and adults in need. It's an honor to be a part of their extraordinary efforts."
Last year, Madrina's also donated its well-known Cafe con Leche at the dedication ceremony of the George Lopez Auditorium at San Fernando Elementary School, Mr. Lopez's alma mater.
Madrina's currently offers ready-to-drink Horchata, the first cinnamon-infused rice water beverage that brings the familiar and beloved horchata experience into an on-the-go package, as well as cold coffees in various flavors including Cafe con Leche, Cafe Vanilla and Cafe Mocha. The Helado line, which perfectly merges tropical flavors with ice cream versions of Madrina's Horchata and Coffees recently launched at grocers around the Midwest. The line features the flavors Mango Mango (mango ice cream with mango swirls), Coconut (coconut ice cream), Pina Raz (pineapple ice cream with raspberry swirls), Cafe con Leche (the perfect blend of coffee and cream), Espresso con Chocolate (roasted espresso ice cream with chocolate swirls), and Horchata Swirl (horchata ice cream with a cinnamon swirl).
