"Magzter on Windows Mobile 8 is our chance to reach out to a whole new segment of technology users. Publishers are looking with immense excitement to benefit from this segment of users"- said Michael D. Triunfo, Director of Sales for the US who is based at Magzter's Global HQ in New York.

Windows Mobile 8 is poised to be the biggest revision of Microsoft Corporation's operating system since the introduction of Windows 95, seventeen years ago.
Windows and Magzter: A stellar combination
With the latest incarnation of Windows, Microsoft has introduced a new "hybrid boot," combining the speed and functionality of Windows' hibernate mode and the benefits of a fresh startup session. Together with Magzter, Windows 8 will forge ahead as it gains access to a rising number of users on the ubiquitous digital publishing platform. Magzter on Windows 8 is a clear sign of what the future holds for digital publishing. Microsoft is making an incredible break with this launch; stepping up and coming forward to stay relevant in a world where smartphones and tablets have upstaged the traditional 'PC' culture. Windows 8 is enterprise-ready by design and this makes it perfect for the 4 million users already transacting through Magzter's store to extend their accessibility options.
While Windows Mobile 8 makes its foray into the smart devices of Magzter users, Magzter looks to expand its consumer base with PC loyalists thus giving them a chance to explore the boon that digital publishing is. The Windows 8 UI is uncomplicated; the tiles are big and easy to hit with a finger making it very convenient for a touch screen. Applications fill the whole screen by default — great for a tablet screen, which is usually smaller than a PC's. The small buttons that formerly surrounded applications, for functions like controlling the speaker volume, are now hidden, giving a clean, uncluttered view.
Windows 8
Windows 8, the successor to Windows 7 has been designed to be used on both tablets and the conventional PC. Windows 8 offers a beautiful, new user interface and a wide range of apps with the grand opening of the Windows Store on October 26th.
It has been announced by Microsoft that Windows Surface will be available in two editions - one for the typical end user, and a Professional edition aimed at designers and other work-based users.
Windows 8 introduces significant changes to the operating system's graphical user interface and platform; such as a new interface design incorporating a new design language used by other Microsoft products, a new Start screen to replace the Start menu used by previous versions of Windows, a new online store that can be used to obtain new applications, along with a new platform for apps that can provide what developers described as a "fast and fluid" experience with emphasis on touch-screen input. Additional security features were also added to the operating system, such as a built-in antivirus program and a secure boot feature on systems with UEFI firmware. Secure boot requires the operating system to be digitally signed to protect malware from infecting the boot process. Windows 8 also introduces an edition of the operating system designed to run on devices that utilize the ARM architecture, known as Windows RT.

Microsoft Windows came to dominate the world's personal computer market with over 90% market share, overtaking Mac OS, which had been introduced in 1984.
