Maidenform Brands, Inc. CEO Honored at Intimate Apparel Square Club's Help Us Give (H.U.G.) Awards
NEW YORK, Nov. 1, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- The Intimate Apparel Square Club's (IASC) annual Help Us Give (H.U.G.) Awards will take place at 230 Fifth on November 3rd honoring Maidenform Brands, Inc. President and CEO, Maurice S. Reznik. The gala will be 60s inspired featuring classic cocktails and music, and will be emceed by comedian and host Ray Ellin. In attendance will be Mad Men Costume Designer Janie Bryant, who was recently named Maidenform Wardrobe Expert in an effort to share and educate women about the importance of intimate apparel and its role as the foundation of fashion. The event will benefit several medical, therapeutic and creative arts programs for pediatric patients treated at NYU Langone Medical Center facilities, including Tisch Hospital and the Rusk Institute for Rehabilitation Medicine.
Maurice S. Reznik has been the Chief Executive Officer and a director of Maidenform Brands, Inc. since July 2008. From May 2004 to July 2008, Mr. Reznik was the company's President and was responsible for marketing, merchandising, design and sales for both branded and private label products. From April 1998 to May 2004, Mr. Reznik was President of the Maidenform division of the company's predecessor company. In the 19 years prior to joining Maidenform, Mr. Reznik held various sales and management positions in the intimate apparel industry. Mr. Reznik is the founder of the For Love of Life Colon Cancer charity, and serves on the boards of the American Apparel and Footwear Association and the Fashion Institute of Technology.
The H.U.G. Award was created in 1998 and is presented annually to well-respected, high-profile companies, organizations and individuals at the IASC's annual gala fundraiser in support of pediatric rehabilitation. The IASC is a charitable organization that was founded in 1955 and is comprised of individuals who work within the intimate apparel and other industries.
