LONGMONT, Colo., Nov. 1, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Boonton, New Jersey will prosper from the business savvy that is helping U. S. Main Street businesses as one of the country's most innovative marketing gurus, Jon Schallert, arrives Wednesday for one of his revolutionary trainings.
On Wednesday, November 3, Jon Schallert will conduct an excerpt from his Destination BootCamp from 8:00 to 9:30 am at 126 North Main Street in Boonton. Businesses attending can gain a slice of Schallert's expertise for only $20.
Schallert recently energized a team of eight Boonton entrepreneurs who traveled to Longmont, Colorado in September for his 2 1/2 day Destination BootCamp. Boonton business owners participated as a part of Schallert's Community Reinvention Program. They say attending has already unleashed a torrent of ideas to help improve their businesses.
Schallert will be visiting those eight Boonton owners for individualized coaching sessions. While in town, he is offering the workshop to owners who are interested in the returns that come from implementing Schallert's techniques. To register for the Boonton workshop, call 973-257-9107.
"Jon Schallert taught us how to win in our market against big chain stores and to increase profitability immediately—despite today's economy," says Bob Hammer, who opened Fremont Athletic Supply 23 years ago in Ohio and attended Destination BootCamp this past March to revive his business. "Thanks to the BootCamp, small businesses can once again become the foundation of financial health for our communities."
Schallert's Destination BootCamp makes small businesses irresistible destinations for local and out-of-market customers, and focuses on identifying each shop's distinctive qualities. Schallert's 14-step strategic process, learned from 25 years of working with and interviewing thousands of small business owners, encourages the creation of attention-grabbing elements for each business.
One of Hammer's business neighbors, Donna McNemar at Coco Beans Candy & More, also graduated from the Destination BootCamp in March. She went back to her business and concocted a record 270.9-pound Buckeye of peanut butter and chocolate that caused a raucous that led to more sales for her once quiet shop.
"Proactive owners aren't waiting for the economy to change. They're jumping in and changing their businesses instead. These Boonton business owners are leading the way in a bottom-up reinvention of their community," says Schallert.
