Make Your Wait Great: One-of-a-Kind Bus Shelter Celebrates Architectural Inspiration

RACINE, Wis., Nov. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of its regional sponsorship of the Chicago Architecture Biennial (CAB), consumer products powerhouse SC Johnson today unveiled a Frank Lloyd Wright-themed bus shelter in downtown Chicago.

Located on E. Lake Street between N. Wabash Avenue and N. State Street, the one-of-a-kind shelter celebrates architectural icon Frank Lloyd Wright. SC Johnson's long-term relationship with Wright produced the company's famed Administration Building and its Research Tower, where brands like Raid^®, Glade^®, OFF!^® and Pledge^® were invented.

The bus shelter showcases a model of the Administration Building and Research Tower, which are located on the company's global headquarters campus in nearby Racine, Wisconsin. It also features replicas of the famous office chairs Wright designed for SC Johnson.

Fans of Frank Lloyd Wright, Chicagoans and visitors are invited to see Wright's architectural inspiration at the bus shelter, snap a selfie in the reproduction office chairs, and share their experience on social media using #WrightNowAtSCJ.

Free Tour Program

In October, SC Johnson expanded its free tour program to enable more CAB attendees to visit the company's iconic Wright-designed architecture. Through January 3, 2016, SC Johnson is offering free tours and deluxe motorcoach transportation from the Chicago Cultural Center to the Racine campus and back.* Special Wright @ Night tours offer a chance to see the campus in evening light.

*No tours will be offered on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve. In addition, Saturday and Sunday tours on December 26 and December 27 will not include a visit to Wingspread, as it is closed for the holidays. On these days, buses return to Chicago approximately one hour earlier.
