Mansfield Powers Energy Trading Floor with Solar Array

GAINESVILLE, Ga., Nov. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Mansfield Energy Corp. has received LEED Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) for the installation of solar power during a recent expansion at their corporate headquarters in Gainesville, GA.  Mansfield's corporate headquarters is the first building in Hall County, GA to receive LEED certification at any level.

The expansion project was led by Carroll Daniel Construction, a leading commercial construction services firm, and features three-hundred-twenty-four, 305 watt multi-crystalline silicon solar modules powering 10,000 square feet of floor space. By employing a 100kw array of solar panels installed on the roof of Mansfield's Gainesville office, energy cost is reduced.  Additional building modifications were also made to reduce overall energy consumption for the company which included enhanced heating and air systems to improve indoor air quality and efficient electrical and plumbing fixtures.
