March for Science Earth Day 2017: April 22 on the National Mall, D.C.

WASHINGTON, April 17, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Earth Day Network has released a way to register for teach-ins on the National Mall this Earth Day, April 22, through an app called Whova. Users can check the app for locations, times, and descriptions of each teach-in and reserve spots at their teach-ins of interest. All teach-ins are free of cost, and science enthusiasts of all ages and educational backgrounds are invited to register and attend.

Each teach-in promises to be an interactive experience, with scientific experts leading the discussion and encouraging audience participation. Similar teach-ins were utilized during the first Earth Day in 1970 and environmental activism quickly spread around the world, inspiring conservation legislation and annual Earth Day activities. Participants will leave the teach-ins feeling capable of enacting change in their communities and continuing the spirit of Earth Day long after April 22.
