Marco's Pizza To Celebrate National Hot & Spicy Day With 'A Slice Of Spice'

TOLEDO, Ohio, Aug. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- National Hot & Spicy Day is tomorrow, August 19, and Marco's Pizza is celebrating by offering customers a "Slice of Spice" as part of a nationwide sampling event.

Customers are invited to stop by any participating Marco's Pizza tomorrow between 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. to receive a free medium slice of Marco's new Spicy Fresco Three Cheese or Spicy Double Pepperoni Fresco pizza. The signature ingredient on both of the new pizzas is Marco's special Giardiniera, an authentic spicy Italian pepper relish that adds an extra kick of spice and sophistication to the flavor of the pizzas.

Both the Spicy Fresco Three Cheese and Spicy Double Pepperoni Fresco are limited-time offers and are available at participating Marco's Pizza locations nationwide until October 26, 2014. 

Spicy Double Pepperoni Fresco features double pepperoni on Marco's signature three-cheese blend, with the spicy kick of Italian pepper relish, sweet fresh red bell peppers and red onions. Spicy Fresco Three Cheese is a meatless option featuring spicy Italian pepper relish, sweet fresh bell peppers and red onions on Marco's three-cheese blend.

In addition to the Slice of Spice national sampling event, Marco's Pizza is offering fans the opportunity to win "A Little Kick" with a social contest on Marco's Pizza's Facebook page, now through September 5. Fans are invited to tell Marco's why they, or someone they know, need to add "a little kick" to their day or week. One winner a day will receive a certificate for a free large Spicy Fresco Three Cheese or Spicy Double Pepperoni Fresco pizza.
