Margulies Communications Founder, David Margulies, Explores Best Practices in Crisis Management and Prevention at Southern Methodist University
DALLAS, Aug. 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Southern Methodist University (SMU) students will explore best practices in crisis management and crisis prevention based on the 27 years of experience and extensive research from The Margulies Communications Group founder, David Margulies. The class, "COMM 3310 Crisis Management," will be offered beginning fall 2013 through the Meadows School of the Arts' Division of Communication Studies.

Students will also hear from guest experts and discuss the human dynamics that create problems and stand in the way of solutions.
"The Meadows School has a number of faculty with outstanding professional credentials who help prepare students for the workplace, and we are glad to add David to our team," said Sandra Duhe, chair of the Division of Communication Studies. "He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in journalism, public relations and crisis management."
"We have been very pleased with the quality of the SMU graduates our firm employs and look forward to working with students as they continue their education," said Margulies, author of Save Your Company Save your Job: Crisis Management in the Internet Age. Prior to starting his public relations firm, Margulies was a journalist for NBC and the Dallas ABC affiliate, WFAA.
