Mario Barth's 2011 Biggest Tattoo Show On Earth Draws Crowd of More Than 40,000 at The Mirage

LAS VEGAS, Oct. 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Tattoo mogul Mario Barth brought his record-breaking 2011 Biggest Tattoo Show on Earth to Las Vegas Sept. 30 – Oct. 2 at The Mirage Hotel & Casino.  The annual convention, brought a crowd of more than 40,000, is the world's largest skin and body modification event.

Ghet-O-Vision/Shady Records/DGC/Interscope recording artist Yelawolf kicked off festivities, attending the opening party on Friday, Sept. 30 at Mario Barth's King Ink inside The Mirage.  Additionally, rock band Black Tide performed songs off their new DGC/Interscope album "Post Mortem," on Sunday, Oct. 2, at King Ink.  

The convention was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the general public to be tattooed by the world's top artists.  Industry icons from Japan and Samoa, who are otherwise unavailable, have been flown to Las Vegas to work on convention- goers.  

Included at the 2011 Biggest Tattoo Show on Earth was a live wedding ceremony.  The bridegroom received wedding ring tattoos from the Starlight Tattoo booth courtesy of Mario Barth.  Another crowd pleasing event was the exotic animal show which included an alligator, kangaroo, lemur, spider monkey, and eagle.  

Mario Barth's 2011 Biggest Tattoo Show On Earth held seminars and one-on-one sessions on topics including business finance, pending legislation, shop design, tattooing techniques, piercing and body modification.  The sessions were taught by the business' top ink professionals including Barth himself.  Also included in the festivities were daily tattoo contests and a wide array of celebrities and musical performances including an appearance by Evan Seinfeld, the celebrity MC during the three-day convention.

Industry icons including Mario Barth, Stanley Moskowitz, Mark Mahoney, Japan's Horitoshi family, the Polynesian Sua Petelo family and Peter Sulu Ape are expected to attend along with more than 1,000 of the world's top artists and vendors.
