Mark Basten Joins Pragmatek Consulting Group to Lead Software Sales of IBM/Cognos Products

He is responsible for sales, business development and relationship management for the firm's IBM/Cognos business analytics and optimization products.
Basten offers 25 years of sales and account management experience to companies seeking greater visibility into operational, financial and market risk through business analytics software. Most recently, Basten was senior sales executive for Virginia-based MicroStrategy, Inc. and its business intelligence offerings. Prior to that, he held senior sales and senior account executive positions at Oracle Corporation and Cognos Corporation with an emphasis on business analytics applications.
He holds a bachelor's degree from Cardinal Stritch University in business administration and is certified in Cognos sales. He resides in Germantown, Wisc.
