In a survey completed in April 2015, 90.6% of teachers said they were using digital resources for student instruction in their classroom, with the highest level of use by elementary teachers. Given this high usage rate, instructional material manufacturers and publishers are eager to know which digital material sources are used in classrooms the most.
The most common source for digital materials is commercial resources provided by the school, district or state, at 40.1%. The second is educational resources at 26.9%. The last four most common sources include self-created, at 14.1%; accessed from the educator community, at 8.7%; created in collaboration with other teachers, at 8.6%; and, other at 1.6%.
