Marvell 6Gb/s SATA Controllers Power Next Generation Motherboards

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CES -- Marvell (Nasdaq: MRVL), a world leader in storage, communications, and consumer silicon solutions, today announced that its Marvell 88SE91XX series, 6Gb/s SATA controllers will ship in the new ASUS P6X58D Premium and P7P55D-E series and GIGABYTE INTEL GA-P55A, GA-X58A and AMD GA-790FXTA motherboards to further reinforce Marvell's market leadership in delivering advantages in performance, advanced data protection, and interoperability for next generation consumer desktops and laptops. Utilizing the industry's first serial ATA revision 3.0 solution from Marvell, these new motherboards feature advanced AES 256 bit data encryption and a blazing fast Serial ATA (SATA) 6Gb/s interface.
