Mass Megawatts Escalating Advances on Augmenter Technologies; Exploring New Areas for Manufacture
WORCESTER, Mass., April 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Mass Megawatts Wind Power, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: MMGW) continues to refine and improve its new augmenter technologies. Using a wind system with an augmenter recently constructed in New York as its source, revisions are continually being made resulting in increased output results. Streamlining production methods and preparing techniques for monitoring quality control are current priorities in order to facilitate quicker future delivery.
As previously announced, the augmenter utilizes a system that funnels and accelerates wind into the MAT (Multi-Axis Turbosystem). The expected increase in wind speed of greater than 70% will result in over three times the power output.
Because of the MAT design, Mass Megawatts has opportunities from advantages over the traditional horizontal-axis, propeller style wind turbines (HAWT). There is no blade tip "whoosh" or sun flicker which might impact nearby residents thereby potentially lessening zoning issues. The parts are simpler, off the shelf varieties, resulting in less backlog and simplicity of transport in hard to reach locations. Foundational requirements of the MAT are less stringent allowing for construction on various terrains and soils.
As Mass Megawatts prepares for commercial production expansion, it is actively pursuing opportunities in high wind / high profitability locations.
Our "tax credit financing package" allows qualifying purchasers to receive a 30% federal tax credit in addition to any local and state incentives. The remaining cost may be financed and paid over a ten year period allowing for almost immediate user profitability in certain wind locations.
This press release contains forward-looking statements that could be affected by risks and uncertainties, including but not limited to Mass Megawatts Wind Power, Inc.'s ability to produce a cost-effective wind energy conversion device. Among the factors that could cause actual events to differ materially from those indicated herein are: the failure of Mass Megawatts Wind Power, Inc. to achieve or maintain necessary zoning approvals with respect to the location of its MAT power developments; the ability to remain competitive; to finance the marketing and sales of its electricity; general economic conditions; and other risk factors detailed in periodic reports filed by Mass Megawatts Wind Power, Inc.
