LOS ANGELES, Aug. 22, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- This past weekend, Matrix—the hair care company that supports hairdressers in imagining all they can be and creating positive change in the world through Chairs of Change—sponsored the L.A. DoSomething.org Boot Camp, the Do Something Awards Pre-Party in Hollywood and provided celebrity hair touch-ups at the 2012 Do Something Awards which aired on VH1. The celebrity-studded events marked a powerful partnership between Matrix and DoSomething.org. The partnership was designed to highlight Matrix's commitment to hairdressers who are committed to change, and create awareness of the beauty industry's positive impact on the world among DoSomething's millions of socially-committed, under-25-year-old members.
Matrix Artistic Directors and Celebrity Stylists Ammon Carver and Nick Stenson were on hand for the festivities, walking the "blue" carpet with the likes of celebrities including Ben Affleck, Lea Michelle, Kelly Osbourne, and Will Ferrell. The pair also provided last minute touch ups backstage to presenters, attendees and winners such as Ellie Kemper & Olivia Munn, resulting in flawless looks for the cameras. The awards show, which honors the world's best, under-25 "world changers," was hosted by New Girl guys Jake Johnson, Max Greenfield, and Lamorne Morris. Stenson and Carver kept awards show guests looking well-coiffed, with the help of popular Matrix Biolage and Total Results stylers like the Biolage Freeze Fix Hairspray and Total Results Sleek Silk Wonder Smoothing Oil.
