Matter and Form Inc. Unveils New Presentation Platform to Bring 3D Work to Life

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- from ShowStoppers @ CES 2015: It's the first presentation platform that lets people show their work off in 3D affordably, quickly and easily. It's called Cashew, and it's the brainchild of Matter and Form Inc., (formerly Matterform) the crowdfunded underdogs at last year's CES, designers who couldn't afford a high resolution 3D scanner and so they made their own. This year, Matter and Form Inc. is returning as a 2015 CES Innovation Awards HONOREE and previewing its newest offering, Cashew, which will launch in spring 2015. Cashew will launch as a free online showcase that lets designers quickly and easily upload their 3D work from any source and download as they need, reducing the size of the mesh as desired without degrading its appearance. It also converts files to a variety of formats and lets users collaborate with each other, share, embed or publish their work from the Cashew site or view any model right from their browser. Cashew helps designers go from creation to sales, giving them a place to send prospective employers, clients, colleagues and purchasers. It is also a great way for engineers, inventors, artists, teachers and even creative families to share, embed, showcase or publish their work wherever they want.
Matter and Form Inc. has experienced tremendous growth in the last year. It has shipped thousands of scanners world-wide and secured millions of dollars in investment. Cashew marks the next step in the company's vision of helping creative people take their imaginations as far as they can go through 3D technology.
