Matthew Cady Joins JER Partners as Vice President of U.S. Fund Investment Management

MCLEAN, Va., June 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Matthew Cady has been named Vice President, U.S. Fund Investment Management for JER Partners. Mr. Cady will be responsible for sourcing, acquisition and asset management for investments in all sectors and regions of the U.S. He is based at the firm's office in McLean, Virginia, and reports to Jim Smith, Managing Director of JER Partners' U.S. Funds.

Mr. Cady joins JER Partners from Macquarie Capital Funds, where he served as Vice President of Portfolio Management since 2005. While at Macquarie, Mr. Cady was instrumental in managing two publicly listed Australian property trusts, as well as joint venture partnerships with leading U.S. industrial and retail REITs, with a combined real estate value of $4 billion. He also served on the acquisitions team, which acquired over $150 million of core and value-add retail centers during his tenure.

Prior to Macquarie, Mr. Cady served as a Senior Associate at INVESCO Real Estate where he was responsible for acquisition underwriting, due diligence and market analysis of core investments in the major markets of the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern U.S. He has also held positions at Barrow Street Capital, ING Clarion Partners and Cantor Fitzgerald.

Mr. Cady is a graduate of Colgate University with a Bachelor of Arts in economics.
