Matthew Rufo, Tyler Antrup and Everett Henderson Join GCR Inc. Planning and Consulting Team
NEW ORLEANS, Sept. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- International professional services firm GCR Inc. added three new staff members to its planning team:
Matthew Rufo, MCP has been hired as senior planner and will manage transportation planning projects specializing in bicycle and pedestrian planning and urban design. Prior to joining the firm, Rufo served as program manager at the Prevention Research Center at Tulane University, where he managed the KidsWalk Coalition, a local partnership of organizations committed to reducing childhood obesity by promoting safe, walkable and bikeable streets in New Orleans, and provided technical support to the City of New Orleans Department of Public Works on pedestrian and bicycling projects. Matt earned a B.A. in Urban Studies from Brown University and a Master of City Planning degree and Certificate in Urban Design from the University of Pennsylvania School Of Design.
Planner Tyler Antrup received his B.A. in Urban Planning and Design from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2009, spending his final year analyzing the retail environment in Kansas City's first-tier suburbs for which he won the 2009 SEARCH symposium for undergraduate research. After receiving his Master of Sustainable Real Estate from Tulane University he worked as a research consultant for ArtPlace America of Chicago before joining GCR Inc. as a planner.
Everett Henderson has been hired as a research and policy analyst. Everett graduated from Florida A & M University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, and from Carnegie Mellon University with an M.S. in Public Policy and Management. Everett comes to GCR Consulting from the Louisiana Association of Public Charter Schools, where he served as the Director of Measurement and Analysis; there he built Charter Discovery, the first education data portal of its kind in Louisiana.
