Maxatec Launches New TSC 6 Inch Industrial Thermal Transfer Printer

ALTRINCHAM, England, March 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --Today Maxatec announces the availability of the new line of 6" thermal transfer label printers from TSC.  The price-competitive TSC TTP-268M series is powerful and packed full of features commanding a strong position amongst more expensive products from leading manufacturers.

Six (6) inch wide labels are often required in industries such as agriculture and logistics, where the printed label can be subjected to harsh conditions.  The TTP-268M is available with 300 dpi (TTP-366M) to deliver high resolution printing at an impressive 6 inches per second providing high quality, long life labels, in addition to 2D barcode and graphic printing capabilities.

The die-cast aluminium housing opens easily for media loading and maintenance, with the print head and the platen roller being replaceable in seconds.  The 6 inch printers have a large memory, 32 MB DRAM and 8 MB Flash, which can be used for fonts, symbols and graphics.  In addition the printers support industry leading emulations which makes replacing existing estates even easier.  1D and 2D barcodes can be printed, as well as the more powerful GS1 Databar and the printers are also suitable for wide, transverse barcodes without the need to rotate the image.
