The MaXum product line was designed to support more than two blade generations through its unique expandability features.

Expandable 14-slot chassis
MaXum's 14-slot expandable chassis offers the ability to easily scale its cooling and electrical power capacity through the addition of removable fan and AC power trays. The chassis offer multiple interchangeable configurations for every need:

A real-estate efficient 13U/14-slot with pull cooling of 350W per slot; an energy-efficient 14U/14-slot with pull cooling of 435W per slot; and a powerful 14U/14-slot with pressurized push pull cooling of 500W-600W per slot.

Seamless transition from AC to DC
MaXum is the first ATCA chassis to offer a field interchangeable AC/DC solution, allowing system vendors to ship both versions of same product and even move a chassis from a DC environment to an AC environment without special integration.

Innovative front-to-back cooling technology for horizontal blades
Traditionally mid-sized chassis were not suitable for carrier-grade NEBS compliant environments as they offered side-to-side cooling. Through its innovative Sphereflow™ technology, MaXum offers the first mid-sized ATCA (6-slot) chassis with front-to-back airflow cooling of 400W blades. This new form factor opens new opportunities for system integrators to provide a more efficiently-sized enclosure without being restricted by compatibility constraints. 

Intera™ pre-integrated switch slot offers 50% more processing
Another outstanding innovation of the MaXum product line is the Intera pre-integrated switch slot. This dedicated small-sized switch card slot is located in the chassis itself, freeing up to two additional payload slots for significantly greater processing power. Since the switch is pre-integrated in the chassis, it does not require additional integration, significantly reducing the time to market.   

Asis has partnered with leading manufacturers, including ZNYX and Broadanet, to offer fully-featured INTERA™ switches. The pre-integrated switches are already available and can be deployed upon request.
