Mazin Education Hires Laura Sammons as Vice President of Marketing

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Dec. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Educational software developer Mazin Education (www.mazineducation.com) has contracted with Laura Sammons to serve as Vice President of Marketing. Mazin Education, a new player in the educational software and assessment market, is aggressively filling out its leadership team in anticipation of upcoming market launches for their first two programs: Mazin Assess, an online assessment engine, and Mazin EnCompass, a tracking and management solution for dropout prevention and student service management.

Laura Sammons brings over 16 years of educational marketing experience with Glencoe/McGraw-Hill, McGraw-Hill Digital Learning, NBC Learn and Achieve3000, with special expertise in marketing new digital programs and assessment solutions for the K-12 education market. She brings extensive experience in marketing strategy, lead generation, collateral development, sales team support, social media strategy, and public relations to the Mazin Education team. In 2010, she launched A Different Direction, LLC, a marketing communications agency focusing on the education, technology, scientific and software industries.  Ms. Sammons will continue to serve as CEO of A Different Direction and work with key clients.
