TORONTO, Sept. 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ - MBAC Fertilizer Corp. ("MBAC" or the "Company") (TSX:MBC andOTCQX:MBCFF) is pleased to announce that, further to its press release issued September 22, 2011 in which the Company announced that it had entered into an equity subscription agreement with IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, the equity financing transaction has closed effective today. IFC invested approximately C$33.6 million to acquire 10,829,900 common shares of MBAC at a price of C$3.10 per share.
The proceeds from the IFC investment will be used by MBAC for the development of the Itafós Arraias SSP Project.
