McCurley Orsinger Earns Top Spot in U.S. News/Best Lawyers Ranking

DALLAS, Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- McCurley Orsinger McCurley Nelson & Downing has been identified as one of the top family law practices in Texas in the 2010 "Best Law Firms" rankings released today by the publishers of U.S. News & World Report and The Best Lawyers in America.

The inaugural list of the country's top law firms appears in the October 2010 edition of U.S. News & World Report following more than a year of research conducted through a national survey of business leaders and practicing attorneys.

"The publishers did a lot of work to find the top law firms in the nation, and I expect that researchers may have talked to several of our clients since so many of the country's top executives responded to the survey," says Mike McCurley, a founding partner at McCurley Orsinger. During the survey, more than 9,500 law firm clients from across the U.S. were asked to identify those firms they consider to be the best in their respective practice areas. Every Fortune 100 company – and more than half of the companies in the Fortune 1000 – provided feedback for the final list.

When the final votes were tallied, McCurley Orsinger was ranked in the top tier (Tier 1) for firms practicing family law in Dallas. This is just the latest honor for the firm, where Mr. McCurley recently was selected by Worth magazine as one of the Top 100 Attorneys in the U.S. Both Mr. McCurley and firm partner Richard Orsinger have been selected by their peers as the Top Family Lawyer in Texas in separate surveys conducted by Texas Lawyer newspaper.
