MDC PARTNERS HIRES ASH BENNINGTON AS DIRECTOR OF STRATEGIC TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION

Former CNBC Journalist and Technology Evangelist Will Focus on Developing Cutting Edge Technology Driven Initiatives

NEW YORK, April 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - MDC Partners Inc. announced today that they have hired Ash Bennington as Director of Strategic Technology and Innovation. In this role, Mr. Bennington will develop strategic technology initiatives for the company. He will also oversee the formation and running of MDC Ideas, an internal think tank dedicated to finding new solutions and opportunities in social media, digital convergence and business analytics.

Mr. Bennington joins MDC Partners from CNBC where he was a journalist and popular blogger reporting on technology, economics, finance, and banking. While at CNBC, he produced in-depth news and commentary. He is a seasoned technology consultant and manager who was previously an Assistant Vice President and Technical Expert at Credit Suisse and a Vice-President of E-Commerce at BB&T.

As Director of Strategic Technology and Innovation, Mr. Bennington will act as MDC Partner's technology evangelist. Within MDC Partners, he will be identifying trends and areas for investment across the digital and technology innovation space. He will also continue to write for CNBC.com as a CNBC contributor.
