MeadowView Marriott Conference Resort & Convention Center to Reveal Major Meeting Expansion and Renovation This Fall

KINGSPORT, Tenn., July 30 /PRNewswire/ -- MeadowView Marriott Conference Resort & Convention Center in Kingsport, Tennessee is preparing to unveil a stunning meeting expansion and renovation this fall. The premiere mountain destination resort, nestled along the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains is getting bigger and better to accommodate high end meetings, retreats and conferences.

By late 2010, they will boast more than 88,000 square-feet, including three amphitheatres, three ballrooms, three executive board rooms, ten conference rooms, and a reception area overlooking the golf course. The resort currently offers 66,000 square-feet of state-of-the-art Kingsport event and function space all under one roof and has established a reputation within the region for service excellence winning a number of awards within Marriott and the local community.

The $14 million expansion project encompasses an impressive 22,000 square-feet executive Tennessee conference center wing being built directly behind the resort. The two-story, multi-purpose venue will include two amphitheatres (a 60-seat and 160-seat, both U-shaped), two boardrooms, a conference room, a 5,000 square-foot ballroom and a two-story parking garage.

The Kingsport hotel recently unveiled two new awe-inspiring 55-room towers, coinciding with the existing 195-room renovation project, garnering the resort 305 luxurious accommodations.  All are decked out with Marriott's new plug in technology, refrigerators and topped off with Marriott's Revive Bedding package. The transformation included the addition of a new indoor swimming pool, outdoor sun deck, hydrotherapy pool and fitness center boasting the latest cardio theater equipment. The Tri-Cities hotel is home to the Cattails at Meadowview championship golf course, a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, the Meadows Restaurant, outdoor fire-pit, and Starbucks.
