MedCore Partners Brokers 67 Acres for Methodist Hospital in Midlothian, TX
Methodist Health System engages MedCore Partners to acquire land to build the first acute care hospital in the Midlothian market
DALLAS, Sept. 18, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- MedCore Partners, a full-service healthcare real estate company, announced today that it has brokered the purchase of a 67-acre land parcel for the development of Methodist's new 190,000 square foot full-service acute care hospital and a 45,000 square foot medical office building in Midlothian, Texas.
Methodist anticipates beginning construction on the hospital and medical office building in 2018 with expected completion in 2020. This facility will be the 11th hospital to proudly carry the Methodist brand.
Kyle Libby and Michael Collins of MedCore Partners represented the buyer, Methodist Health System, one of DFW's premiere healthcare systems. The sellers, Jerry and Steve Massey, were represented by Joe Rust of the Joe Rust Company.
The parcel is located just west of U.S. 287 near the Midlothian ISD multi-purpose stadium. Initially, the property is planned to include a hospital with 44 beds but will have the capacity to expand to 80 beds as demand increases. The medical center will employ approximately 300 healthcare professionals and support staff members at the end of the first full-year of operation. Additionally, the excess land will allow Methodist to further its commitment to the needs of the growing community.
