MEDIA ALERT: Event to Celebrate Businesses Poised to Bring Manufacturing Back to Los Angeles

WHAT:      

The Catalyst Kickoff Event will launch MAKE IT IN LA's Catalyst Program, a diverse community of creators scaling their production in Los Angeles. MAKE IT will introduce the 16 Fellows selected to receive one-on-one assistance, and the 60 entrepreneurs in the Catalyst Community will meet each other for the first time. The event will feature elevator pitches, remarks from the Los Angeles Mayor's Office, locally-inspired organic cocktails on the distillery floor, Caribbean food and organic desserts.

WHY:       

The Catalyst program reflects a recent surge in investments in physical products and CPG companies, from fashion and food to home goods and electronics, and an untapped opportunity to connect local manufacturing resources. MAKE IT IN LA launched Catalyst to help founders scale and use that momentum to drive economic growth in the largest manufacturing ecosystem in the country.
