MedInformatix Earns Surescripts® Prescription Routing Certification

With this certification, the MedInformatixVersion 7.5 prescriber software connected through Relay Health and NewCrop, will be able to exchange prescription information electronically through the Surescripts secure platform.

Surescripts' Prescription Routing service allows prescribers to electronically send prescriptions directly to the patient's chosen pharmacy. Pharmacies can utilize the service to send prescription renewal authorization requests to the prescriber's system for faster and more efficient refills. The MedInformatix certification allows testing for prescription routing messaging including NewRx, RefReq, RefRes, Status, and Error.

MedInformatix version 7.5 is certified according to the Surescripts EDIFACT Implementation Guide Version 4.20. Connectivity to the Surescripts platform is enabled through Relay Health, a leading provider of connectivity solutions for health information exchange.
