Members and Leaders of HFSA to be Recognized at the 2025 Annual Scientific Meeting in Minneapolis, MN

WASHINGTON, Sept. 3, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The Heart Failure Society of America (HFSA) announced the slate of 2025 HFSA Award recipients who will be recognized at the HFSA Annual Scientific Meeting 2025, September 26-29 in Minneapolis, MN 

"This year's awardees embody the very best of our heart failure community — leaders, innovators, caregivers, and advocates who have made a lasting difference in the lives of patients and families," said Michael Felker, MD, HFSA President. This year's award winners are as follows:

Distinguished HFSA Member Award
Robert Lee Page II, PharmD, MSPH of the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus
The Distinguished HFSA Member Award celebrates a member's body of work in the field of heart failure and their work and service to the Heart Failure Society of America.

Distinguished Leadership Award
Juan Aranda, MD, FACC of the University of Florida Health Heart and Vascular Hospital
The HFSA Distinguished Leadership Award celebrates a leader in the field of heart failure in the areas of education and mentorship.

Pioneer Award
Wilson Tang, MD of Cleveland Clinic
The HFSA Pioneer Award is given to an innovator and pioneer in the field of heart failure. The Award notes the HFSA member's innovative role in heart failure which helps to set the stage for future generations of heart failure providers.

Nursing Clinical Excellence Leadership Award
Meg Fraser, DNP, ANP-C, CHFN, FHFSA of the University of Minnesota
The HFSA Nursing Clinical Excellence Award recognizes clinical nursing excellence by a registered nurse who works directly with heart failure patients, their families, and other nurses providing HF services.

Nursing Research Leadership Award
Lucinda Graven, PhD, APRN of Florida State University College of Nursing
The HFSA Nursing Research Leadership Award recognizes extraordinary achievement and excellence in nursing that improves outcomes of patients with heart failure. 

Heartfelt Hero Award
Wayne Brewer, PhD, PT
The purpose of this award is to recognize a heart failure patient or caregiver who, through their voice and actions in the heart failure community, demonstrates unwavering commitment to improving the lives of HF patients and inspires others on their journeys.

UAB Heart Failure Transitional Care Services for Adults (HRTSA) Clinic Team
University of Washington/Harborview Medical Center's Community Heart Failure Program
Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center Heart Failure Team
The Outstanding Heart Failure Care Team Award celebrates the accomplishments of a heart failure care team, collectively.
