Members of the Polish Sejm Concerned About the Growth of Radical Nationalism in Ukraine
KIEV, Ukraine, May 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
Political group Solidarna Polska (Solidary Poland ) has raised its concern about the strengthening of radical nationalism in Ukraine. Tadeusz Wozniak of Solidarna Polska has stated that his political group shares concerns with many Ukrainian human rights activists and public leaders about an impending threat of Ukrainian ethnical nationalism. "This threat is very crucial, especially in 2013 - the year of anniversary of the violent events in the Volyn region, known as Volyn massacre, which killed thousands of civilians of different nationalities, "- he said.
"The Polish Sejm has discussed today four draft resolutions relating to this anniversary," added the MP.
A project of Solidarna Polska called Project is focused on especially dangerous facts that in today's world, when the human rights became paramount of the democratic society, in Western Ukraine monuments are erected to criminals against humanity. In particular the members of Українська Повстанська Армія (The Ukrainian Insurgent Army) are today proclaimed heroes, and their descendants are elected in the Ukrainian Parliament, " said the politician.
