Mendocino Coast District Hospital Physician Neil Nathan Publishes Book to Help Those Struggling with Chronic Poor Health
Key To Relief Is Proper Diagnosis, He Says
FORT BRAGG, Calif., Nov. 22, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Family medicine physician Dr. Neil Nathan has spent the last 20 years helping people that other health care practitioners didn't know what to do with. He's compiled that experience in his new book, On Hope and Healing: For Those Who Have Fallen Through the Medical Cracks.
"I want to give hope to those who've suffered with poor health for a long time and didn't think there was anywhere to turn," says Nathan, who is medical director of Mendocino Coast District Hospital's Healing Hospital Program. "The central challenge is getting an accurate diagnosis. With proper diagnosis, there are answers."
According to Nathan, his book is a resource offering the latest information on a range of illnesses that most family practitioners are unequipped to diagnose or treat effectively. These illnesses include chronic pain, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, mold toxicity, Lyme disease and the Autism Spectrum, as well as any medical condition that has not yet been clearly diagnosed.
Written in nontechnical language, On Hope and Healing also offers clear, readable explanations for the causes and cures of today's onslaught of complex/chronic illnesses. A video featuring Dr. Nathan discussing his book appears on the Mendocino Coast District Hospital website: www.mcdh.org/health-wellness-practitioners/neil-nathan/.
