MENG Celebrates 2012 Edison Awards Finalists and Ceremony
Marketing Executives Networking Group (MENG) recognizes our members who are finalists in The Edison Awards.
NEW YORK, March 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Over the past several years, the Marketing Executives Networking Group (MENG) has supported The Edison Awards, celebrating 25 years. The Edison Awards have recognized ideas at the forefront of new products, services, marketing, design and innovation. Winning an Edison Award has become one of the highest accolades a company can receive in the name of business innovation.
"The Edison Awards provide an exclusive platform for honoring innovation, recognizing innovators, and encouraging ongoing innovation among today's development teams, researchers, designers, 'intrapreneurs' and entrepreneurs," says Thomas Stat, the 2012 Edison Awards Steering Committee Chairman.
Named after Thomas Alva Edison (1847-1931), whose new product development and innovative achievements garnered him 1,093 U.S. patents, nominees for the Edison Best New Product Awards™ are judged by a panel of more than 3,000 individuals, including members MENG, a non-profit, volunteer, professional organization comprised of America's top marketing professionals and academics.
"MENG members are executive leaders and innovators both in marketing and in their specific industries," says Joey Iazzetto, MENG Chairman (and winner 2009 Edison Best New Product Award). "It's only fitting that MENG should be involved in The Edison Awards."
Of particular note this year, the "Thomas A. Edison Marketing Award powered by MENG" is a new category for entries. Congratulations to the finalists, as follows:
