Menin Hotels To Open Gale South Beach & Regent Hotel December 2012

MIAMI, Nov. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Prominent Miami-based hospitality group Menin Hotels has announced plans to unveil its latest project, Gale South Beach & Regent Hotel on December 4, 2012, following a complete $35 million restoration. Originally built in 1941 by Miami architect L. Murray Dixon, the historic property is located in the heart of South Beach at 1690 Collins Avenue and will offer the ideal combination of comfort, convenience and luxury.

Inspired by the sun-drenched villas in the Italian Riviera, the joined boutique hotels have been masterfully restored, offering a modern adaptation of Italy's classic, restrained architectural elegance while still maintaining its distinct South Beach glamour and eased charm. The hotel's new design, developed by architecture firm ADD Inc Miami, features imported white Italian marble, custom designed light fixtures, luxurious leathers, rich European oak and walnut woods and a warm color palette of beach-inspired tans, antiquated chestnut browns, deep cerulean blue and crisp whites with metallic accents throughout. The lobby sets the tone for the guest experience, boasting an ornate, triple-recessed diamond walnut panel set behind a replicated mirrored Art Deco desk, while a private 5,000 square foot, sandblasted Carrera marble-clad rooftop deck offers an opulent retreat complete with an infinity pool and expansive views of the city and ocean.

Maintaining its original name and structure, Gale South Beach & Regent Hotel will continue to reflect its Miami roots and will feature reclaimed limestone and terrazzo flooring from its previous incarnation, hints of the lavish 1940's Shagreen embossed leather in a variety of custom furniture pieces, exact replicas of entry light fixtures, 1940's-inspired staff attire designed by Noble Uniforms and a collection of vintage South Beach photographs and memorabilia from the early 1900's displayed throughout the property as well as in the guest rooms and suites.

The intimate boutique hotel will feature 87 certified green rooms and signature suites offering luxury Italian linens, marble bath appointments, exclusive Menin Hotels GuyandGirl bath amenities, a 55" high-definition LED television with expanded 90 channel HD lineup on the latest IBAHN system, ihome docking station for the latest iPad technology, fully-stocked minibar, high-speed wireless Internet access, room service, state-of-the-art fitness center, access to two complimentary chairs at Shelborne Beach Club and nightly turn-down service.
