Meridium Celebrates Completion of New Global Headquarters and Welcomes Conference Attendees from Around the World

ROANOKE, Va., May 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --  Meridium Inc., the global leader in asset performance management (APM) software and consulting solutions, hosted more than 450 people at the opening reception of Meridium Conference 2011 this evening at the company's newly renovated global headquarters building in downtown Roanoke, Virginia USA.  The event featured live music, regional cuisine, and tours of the former warehouse and retail space.  

Additional Meridium Conference events and sessions throughout the week included pre-conference training classes and an evening cycling event, as well as upcoming customer case study presentations and industry expert sessions, a product demonstration theatre, a treasure-hunting contest and passenger train excursion to a restored train-depot-turned-restaurant.

The opening general session of Meridium Conference 2011 begins Wednesday morning at the historic Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center with a powerful list of speakers, including Dr. Kent Moors, an internationally recognized expert in oil and gas policy and global risk management, as well as a professor at Duquesne University, where he also directs the Energy Policy Research Group. Speakers also include Dr. Sam Mannan, director of the Mary Kay O'Conner Process Safety Center at Texas A&M University and a leading authority on safer processes, equipment, procedures, and management strategies that will minimize losses within the processing industry. The Thursday morning keynote, Dr. Mark Wilde, is Deutsche Bank's senior analyst covering the Paper & Forest Products sector, and was recently identified by the top paper industry consulting & publishing firm as one of the most globally influential persons in the sector.
