"Mark has deep industry contacts and a significant amount of transaction experience across multiple markets. He's an excellent deal originator and extremely persistent – two critical qualities of a great banker," said Jon Merriman, Co-Chairman of Merriman Holdings. "It's critical that we expand beyond our borders to help smaller capitalization, high quality companies globally obtain the U.S. capital they need to grow. Mark has the skill set and the aggressiveness needed to expedite our corporate clients' needs in the United States and abroad."
Green commented, "I continue to be impressed with the firm's dedication to helping fast-growing companies access the U.S. capital markets, and follow through with great trading and research. I look forward to growing the banking team and executing innovative capital and advisory solutions on behalf of our corporate clients."
Green was promoted from Managing Director and Head of Technology and International Banking at Merriman Capital. He previously headed C.E. Unterberg, Towbin's (and later Collins Stewart's) banking efforts in Israel, where he advised technology companies on cross-border public and private financings and M&A. Prior to joining Unterberg, Green worked in Israel with Citigroup Investment Banking - a subdivision of Citigroup Inc. of New York - where he focused on semiconductor, storage, security and software companies. He received his M.B.A. from the University of Bath School of Management, England and his B.A. from the University of Westminster, London, England. Green serves on the board of On Track Innovations Ltd.
